Hello Kitty!

They first made Hello Kitty in 1974 and she didnt have a name they just called her Kitty but then she started getting popular. She then got her name Hello Kitty in 1975 and her family was also introduced. They also came out with the first Hello Kitty item and it was a wallet with her face on it. In 1976 they made Hello Kitty their face of the company and they made her appear in a standing pose for the first time. Then in 1978 they gave Hello Kitty even more outfits and different poses and everyone loved it. They then bought grandma and grandpa in the picture in 1979. They then made Hello Kitty play sports in 1980 and it became popular fast. They in 1981 they started expanding the products coming out with electronics of Hello Kitty for example cameras, and phones. They even came out with a movie called Kitty and Mimi's new umbrella. In 1986 they then had a passport design of Hello Kitty and that became there logo for her for a while. US and CBS started showing the Hello Kitty shows called Hello Kitty's Fairy Tale Theater, in 1988. In 1989 they then came out with a comic series and that got very popular because you can read it and get closer with Hello Kitty. Sanrio Puroland theme park opened in 1990 and they then came out with Hello Kitty designs for Christmas. Then 1991-1993 they came up with Hello Kitty designs but for the seasons and the ones that came or were coming up. They also made Hello Kitty a boyfriend in 1993 his name was Dear Daniel.
